Booking terms

Version v6

I travel to you, so a missed appointment means a wasted journey and a slot I can't fill.

Your arrival window
The time you book is my aim, not a guarantee. Appointments can shift a little depending on traffic and how the day before you has gone. I'll be with you within 15 minutes either side of your booked time, so a 2pm appointment means I'll arrive between 1:45 and 2:15. Please be ready from the start of that window. If I'm going to be later than that, I'll message you.
Telling me what I need to know
Please tell me anything relevant when you book, or message me before your appointment. That includes access or parking difficulties, stairs, pets, anyone else who'll be present, or any skin or scalp condition I should be aware of. If something affects the appointment and you could reasonably have told me beforehand, the full price still applies.
Cancelling or rescheduling
You can cancel or move your appointment yourself up to 12 hours before, at no charge. Inside 12 hours you can still cancel, but your area's cancellation fee applies. I plan each day's route around your slot, so a late gap means time and travel already committed. The exact figure for your address is shown before you confirm anything.
Very late cancellations and no-shows
Cancelling within 2 hours of your appointment, not being there when I arrive, or my arriving and not being able to cut your hair, means the full price of the booked service. By then your slot and the journey to you can't be given to anyone else.
When I arrive
I'll wait up to 10 minutes. After that I'll have to move on to my next appointment, and it's treated as a no-show.
Somewhere to work
I need somewhere I can set up safely: reasonable light, a power socket within reach, and enough space around the chair.
The chair matters
Please have a sturdy chair at a normal height ready. A standard dining chair is ideal. Bar stools, armchairs, sofas and low seats make it difficult to work properly and affect the result. If there's nothing suitable, I may not be able to carry out the appointment and the full price applies.
Parking
I need to be able to park within a reasonable distance. If you know parking is difficult where you are, please tell me when you book.
Aged 16 and over
Bookings are for clients aged 16 or over. Anyone under 16 should be booked in by a parent or guardian instead. Message me and I'll sort it. For any client under 18, a parent or guardian must be present at the appointment; that is a condition of booking.
If I need to cancel
Occasionally I may have to cancel: illness, a vehicle problem, a family emergency, or conditions that make travel unsafe. If that happens you pay nothing, anything already paid is refunded, and I'll offer you the next available slot. I can't cover other costs you may have arranged around the appointment.
Declining or stopping an appointment
I may decline or stop an appointment if there's abusive or threatening behaviour, if anyone present is intoxicated, if the person booked is under 16, if a client under 18 has no parent or guardian present, if I find a scalp or skin condition I'm not able to work on safely, or if hair is too dirty or greasy to cut hygienically. Freshly washed or clean, dry hair gives the best result. Where this is something you could reasonably have told me or sorted beforehand, the full price applies.
Insurance and responsibility
I hold public liability insurance. I'll carry out your haircut with reasonable skill and care. If something goes wrong that's my fault, my responsibility is limited to the price of the service. Nothing here limits my responsibility for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, or anything else the law doesn't allow me to limit.
What's mine, and how you're welcome to use it
This website, including its design, its wording, its photographs, and the booking system behind it, is mine and stays mine. You're welcome to use it the normal way: read it, book an appointment, manage your bookings, and come back as often as you like. Search engines are welcome to index it so people can find me.
What not to do with it
Everything on this site is mine: the words, the photographs, the design and the booking system behind it. Please don't copy any of it, put it on another website, or pass it off as your own. Please don't use automated tools to collect or copy the content, and please don't use anything from this site to set up or run a barbering service of your own. Search engines are welcome, as above.
If those are ignored
If any of that happens, I can close the account and withdraw permission to use the site, and I keep every legal right and remedy available to me, including asking a court to stop it and to recover any loss.

Questions about any of this? Message me before you book. How your details are looked after is in the privacy policy.
